Even before Hurricane María hit Puerto Rico on September of last year, Puerto Rico has seen the greatest migration ever to the mainland United States, in part because of the financial crisis in the U.S. territory. But Hurricane María sent thousands to the states, who were fleeing the devastation of the hurricane, after many were left without power or running water.
