On June 20, 2018, Governor Ricardo Rosselló signed into law a bill that clears the way for the partial privatization of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (“PREPA”). The bill allows the government to move forward with a plan that could sell off power generation assets and put the transm ission and distribution under a private concessionaire.
